A real call with Better Czech Speech: I speak Czech into the microphone, the game transcribes it and “František Ředitel” answers. Play it with sound.
Unzip it and run SWYF-Hub.exe. The hub finds the game in Steam by itself. Windows may show a blue window because the program isn't signed: click More info and then Run anyway.
Only the first time. The hub adds a mod loader and the Mod Manager to the game, so mods can be switched on and off even while it runs.
It opens in the hub. Click Install. Better Czech Speech is already in the start pack.
Launch it through Steam as usual. The mods follow the game's language.
Done. Go scam someone.
Unzip it anywhere, for example on the desktop. More mods are in the Mod library.
The best Czech accuracy, especially for whispering and unclear speech.
About 3× faster, slightly less accurate. For weaker graphics cards and laptops.
You can download both. The mod uses large-v3; if you delete it, it takes turbo.
Problems found: 6. All of them can be fixed.
Click Choose game folder. Steam tells you where the game is: right-click the game → Manage → Browse local files. It's the folder with Scam With Your Friends.exe.
With Better Czech Speech, switch to the turbo model. The large model takes about 4 GB of graphics memory, and the game with it around 8.5 GB of RAM.
Close programs that record the game in the background, such as SteelSeries GG Moments. They can eat tens of GB of memory.
Double-click CzechSpeech-1.0.3.swyfmod again, switch on the turbo model and install. Then in BepInEx\config\dex.swyf.czechspeech.cfg in the game folder change Model = large-v3 to Model = turbo. It takes effect after restarting the game.
Better Czech Speech works in any lobby. The new gestures need the mod on the host too.
Check the game's audio settings for the right microphone. Better Czech Speech uses the same input as the game, it just transcribes it better.
Open SWYF Mod Hub (it's in the Start menu). Each mod has a switch to turn it off and a bin to remove it. Uninstall all puts the game back the way it was.
Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk.
